Sat at a restaurant in Morro Jable, Fuerteventura currently being hassled for food by 4 Cattle Egrets, 2 collared doves and across the road is a Hadada Ibis. Saw a Hoopoe yesterday.
Google has been my friend here actually finding out what these birds are.

In Whinney Banks you only ever saw sparrows, starlings, shitehawks and crows.

I recommend the Merlin app for anyone interested in birds.

Here in N Yorks pigeons rule the roost. They seem to double in number every year. I think I’ve developed a phobia over pigeons. Watching films or TV , I cannot help pointing them out. They are everywhere.

In Spain they had virtually solved the pigeon problem. Racing and domesticated pigeons were dyed a multitude of bright colours. All others were fair game for hunters who shot anything that moved. It all went into the paella.
