Things you were taught at school that are now wrong

That your school days are the best days of your life.

Although that wasn’t really school that said that, just a general comment from adults.

Certainly not true for me.
Don't think they meant literally time at school, but those days. For most people you don't have to work, cook, look after other people etc. mostly just concern yourself with playing with your mates and care free. Feeling hard done to over first world problems etc

Don't talk to people with puppies. I'm not sure if that's school or adverts?

I always get excited when a stranger has a puppy come bounding up to me to say 'hi'

Janet and John, Bill and Ben,Little Weed, Andy Pandy, Little Ted and Luby Loo and the Wooden Tops were all dysfunctional "families".

Coloured was a politically correct term back in the day too.
True but this one is contentious as black can still be An offensive term in the us as well where some one will often refer to themselves as a person of colour.

The angles of a triangle always add up to 180 degrees and electricity travels in wires.

In fact most of what you get taught in science is so simplified as to be wrong.

What does electricity travel in??
It travels both inside and around the wire. Without the electro magnetic field surrounding the wire you have no electricity. The electrons do flow in the wire but that doesn't create electrical energy. The magnetic field creates the electrical energy.

Considering that light and electromagnetism are the same force and light doesn't need a wire then neither does electricity. Electrical energy is a cross factor of electrons and magnetism. If you then consider ac current it just wouldn't work if electricity worked the way you are taught in schools. You would have as much energy going back to the power station as leaving it. The energy is directed radially outwards in appliances even though the electrons are moving in 2 different directions. Combine it with magnetism and you get a cross product vector that lights a bulb.

I can see why they don't teach this in schools

I was nearly 43 when I learned this. Which is to say today. Mind blowing

The ability to control and power things using just the air is no longer called magic and witch craft.

Now it’s known as WI-Fi
