Going to Alton towers. Thinking of sleeping over to be closer for the first day. What is there to do in around the area to entertain 2 adults and a 3 year old. Outdoors or attractions etc

Not true although entertainment for a 3 yr old and adults is a challenge... Best bet Nantwich outdoor Lido if in summer. Nantwich is fab as well for food etc. A bit of a drive though, where you staying exactly?
Also near the Peak District which is stunning.

Alton Tower's grim if you're old.
Another suggestion Peak Wildlife Park, which is close to Alton Towers... Take no notice of the haters.Staffordshire, and The Peaks has as much to offer as Yorkshire, apart from the coast.

I think one day is enough at Alton towers. You'd be padding it out doing two. Then again I've not been for years.

I'm looking forward to blackpool pleasure Beach on my 2 day staycation for the footy.

Thanks for all your suggestions bud. Peak wildlife park sounds good. 3 year old is a good Walker as well I’ll look into that
