They've moved my polling station....

Lack of portacbins apparently.
We usually have one at the end of the street but they moved it to the local school instead.

my kids school was told to close by the LEA... they weren’t happy considering they only just came back
 
I’m happy to say that mine had moved too. Instead of making the local primary school close as they always have, I had to walk 2 minutes further away to a church hall.

I hope this alteration continues into ‘post-Covid’ times as it’s ridiculous that a school should be made to shut for the day when there are other equally suitable venues nearby 👍
 
Same thing happened to us. There was a warning on the card saying some had changed but ours was at the usual address. Got there and it was locked up. Luckily I had drove because it was a fair walk away and it was raining. I would guess anyone who walked could have had second thoughts and gone home.
 
Here in Acklam they printed posters to put up where the old polling stations were, telling people the new location....

But some muppet put them up outside the new polling station
 
Macmillan Acad appealed about shutting saying kids had missed education ..........Mbro council told them to close ....shamefull , 7to 800 kids off for the sake of a portakabin
