They know where the back of the net is

He also went on and on about how we won't meet anything better than Brentford, probably not ! but what about the Rotherhams and others that manage to turn us over.

We've scored one goal at home in 4 successive defeats, conceded 9 and been bummed by 3 goals at home twice in a row by teams at both ends of the division.

I am not anti Warnock at all and in fact am still hugely supportive based on where we started under him and what he's had to work with. But he has a lot of players now.

It is not as though there aren't reasons to be cheerful with some of the squad.

Bolasie and Watmore are reasons to be cheerful, as are Tavernier, Fry, Howson, Dijksteel, Bola and McNair.
Mendez Laing and Kebano offer promise, I quite like Fisher and Morsy can do a job.
I think Browne could be a real asset when fit.
I am really positive about these 13 players

But there are some who are I think are problems.
If you put the best bits of Assombolonga, Fletcher and Akpom together you still wouldn't get a good championship striker.
Saville is an obvious weak link, he is just awful.

I hope the new lads can get match fit and up to speed and hope Neil can work out how to best use them. But I think it will be a busy summer window.

He went on about the fact that their equaliser was offside for so long that I was genuinely shocked it wasn't disallowed.

The camera doesn't show the linesman, so you rely on the commentator to accurately describe the stuff you miss.
That was my first mistake.

He looked offside as it was nodded forward.

Not to me, he looked in line, but my point is that Maddo was repeatedly saying that he was offside as they ran on to goal and then scored, so I was under the assumption that the linesman was flagging and the ref hadn't seen yet.
But nope.

Same here. So I see your point.

I don't see why stock phrases, used by commentators or managers, bother people. Everyone has stock phrases that they rely on in their speech, and it smacks of grasping for an excuse to have a go when people criticise it.

Agree with the point about offside; I wasn't worried when the ball was put into the net because I assumed the flag had been raised. Ouch.

For me, there was a lot of Vossen finishing yesterday; yes, they were good saves, but really our players shouldn't have been giving the keeper a chance.
