When the Tory misinformation trick isn’t working well enough anymore, the new game appears to be ‘suppress the information completely’.

“Thérèse Coffey has set out to minimise the evidence published by the department and a consequence of this is that public trust in the department has been badly damaged,” said Stephen Timms, the chairman of the Commons work and pensions select committee.

Knowingly implementing policies that will make an extremely disadvantaged and vulnerable section of the population worse off and driven to destitution and death.......yeah that is evil. Even Thatcher didn't go that far.

Waiting for "I Daniel Blake" to be banned, moved from the Tory supporters "Family Favourites" section.

Yep. This generation of Tories used the financial crises as a ruse. They convinced people Labour had bankrupted the country then implemented ideological cuts that were designed to hammer the least well off most.

It’s very telling that since they’re been in power national debt has increased and recently Rees-Mogg was attempting to explain that government debt didn’t matter. They weren’t saying that in 2010 of course.
 
Coffee is one of those ministers where you wonder how the f&*k she has got a job, never mind become an MP. She is one of the worst ministers I have seen on TV. She's as dire as Truss.

Absolutely. Her performances in any interview are awful. This generation of Tory politicians are woeful. I do wonder how anyone could vote for the likes of Coffee as their MP.

It must be party over personality with the likes of Coffee. There are so many high profile Tories that appear to be inept and not even bright enough to work in a corner shop, never mind running a Government department.

That's probably why we are in this mess - the Tory party just ships any old yes person into safe seats.
 
I think the traditional Tories were like native American hunters (bear with me). They used to "hunt" the plebs, I.e. cream money off the top, rig the system to suit millionaires etc. But they were generally competent enough to do it in a "sustainable" way. Made sure everyone else had enough scraps from the table so no-one complained too much and most (apart from the very poorest) felt like they were doing ok. Allowed them to cling on to power while still helping themselves and their mates to the country's wealth.

This lot are like like the European settlers hunting the buffalo to extinction. Too stupid and greedy to realise you can only push things so far. Feels like something has to give sooner or later. Hopefully sooner.

Expect it's the "pin a blue rosette on a sheep" principle and the electorate will vote for it. Could be her, could be anyone.

She is in an uber safe Suffolk seat with a 20k+ majority so no worries about performance, backlash etc.

Even by Tory standards a repugnant individual.

I’ve taken out their name as To be honest you could say that for the rest of them and it still would make sense.
