The whole is greater than the sum of the parts! Boro secure automatic promotion.

the sum of the parts ain't too shabby!! Dijksteel, Fry, McNair, Bola, Tavernier, Watmore are all big ticket players!

Joe Lumley is 26 and a fantastic signing all this talk of signing old plodders simply isn't true. 26 is no age for a keeper.

Uche Ikpeazu is 26 too he will be great for boro next season mark my words 6 goals, 2 assists and 2 man of the match awards. Those don't happen by accident. I loved Wycombe making it to the champo,, but they did struggle. We paid £6m for Rudy Gestede in the prem.. this lad it TWICE the player and then some.

Sammy Ameobi is massively underrated, we might even play him as a striker!

Lee Peltier is more than capable of coming in and doing a job for us.

AND WE'VE STILL GOT BUSINESS TO DO

Morsy, Hall and Howson aren't bad either and I am expecting breakthrough seasons from some of our youth products, maybe Malley, Coburn and Hackney?!

Haven't been this excited for a new season.... well since erm woody's first game against Luton! Attacking free flowing football. Didn't quite work out as planned but if you cant get excited for a new season what's the point. UTB!!

Cant you see any positives @coluka ? or is that a daft question. 😛

I think you could do with some sunshine and big hug. It's gonna be ok mate. You are very much loved and wanted x

I'll buy you a pint when the big bad world opens up again!
Far from wanting a big hug, Id prefer the big bad world to throw up

A keeper (unless Stojanovic stays that is)
A Centre Back
2 pacy wingers
A pacy no10 or box to box midfielder (MP would be nice)
Another tall CF like Smith

Oh and a punch of the air from Mr Neil next May

Cant wait to go back now.
Thought he did OK and did extraordinarily well to keep us up , and was very impressed to begin with at the start of last season.

But as the season progressed and he brought in different players and lost Fry and Tav, we become absolutely painfully awful to watch at times.

I`m hoping he has the luck of keeping his best players fit and Warnock gets the chance to inspire his players to at least the play offs to make it a good season.
Also that our home displays aren't as bad as some last seasons, otherwise I think it may cause the crowd to give them some stick.

His last hurrah as its getting dark, I will be very impressed if the old bloke pulls this one off.

YES! We finished 10th we've cleared out the dead wood and we're improving the squad. Very much looking forward to next season.

Yes loads in the making, but still a way to go.

We have the basis of a decent team that still lacks pace in the final 3rd and enough strength in depth as yet.

We have yet to see if the squad is better, I am hoping it is and will be a big improvement, but for me we can not be sure it is improved till we see the proof on the pitch. Wanting it and actually seeing it are 2 different things. I trust NW, but goals still do not look a cast iron guarantee for me. I live in hope that those not yet in will give me more surety.

Can see us having a great defence (Big Dijk, Fry and Bola) and real handful in attack.

A combination of strength (Ikpeazu + new signing) and pace (Watmore + new signing) up top. With a midfield that is combative (Morsy), experienced (Howson and McNair and has ability (Tav and possibly the South American lad).

Really fancy Warnock to make some shrewd signings this summer, uncovering some real gems on the cheap and us to have a cracking season.

notice you didn't say no to the free pint! lol

A keeper: Brad James maybe? I think Warnock left the door open for Jordon Archer to return.
A Centre Back: Lee Peltier?
2 pacy wingers: If we're gong 4-3-3 Watmore and Ameobi might be our 1st choice? back up from the academy perhaps? Junior Holliet will no doubt be linked..
A box to box midfielder: Martin Payero is the boyo
Another tall CF like Smith: I thought the Rotherham friendly might have had something to do with this..

Don't be daft Coluka is more negative that Nosmo 😆

Actually no I take that back, that's just impossible 😉🤣🤣

Downer alert!

I still don't see us bothering the top 6. Defence needs to improve substantially on the back end of last season and I'm not convinced our attackers will cause too many problems (in my opinion we're still light years behind the top of the league for attacking threat).

If we can keep it tight we'll be in with a chance but we'd need a whole season of defensive stability in order to do that. Slight improvement on last season I think.

The incomings thus far seem to be addressing the quantity of players required, rather than the quality - not suggesting that's the wrong way to go about things but it was always going to take time (multiple windows in my opinion) to get sufficient numbers of players of sufficient quality through the door.

I think we need an experienced back up keeper. Archer is off to QPR I think. I am sure we can pick one up cheaply Westwood would be ideal for me, although he is more likely to want a starter role.

Peltier to me is back up, across the back four ok but at 5’10 would hope it more as a full back than CB.

I may be wrong, but I don’t see Ameobia as an out and out winger, more a wide midfielder who can cut inside. I would like to see more pace. Watmore has bursts and to a lesser degree Tav. We need to add pace still for me.

If Payero is coming in, he is then Saville’s replacement.

Smith is a handful at times and gives 100%

We need more goals from midfield and at least 12 from Uche, which, playing with better players he might do

I think the jury is out on Ikpeazu and to some degree Ameobi. Payero is unlikely to go straight into the team were he to sign (Olympic gold medal final is 7th August.) Argentina is a red list country, Japan an Amber, so some isolating may be needed too, then squad integration. If he comes, I could see him not playing until September at the earliest.

When will the jury deliver it's decision?
