The Weekend beer and music thread

Afternoon folks, the extended weekend is here and what better way to celebrate than with some canny music and a beer or three amongst friends.

Currently a passenger in a car on the way to Blackpool to the The Quireboys tonight so will be indulging in a beer or three when I get there I'd think.

On that note it was pleasing to see my local has got some Old Peculiar on tap this week which is always a winner.



To kick off some music, here is Free Bird from Lynyrd Skynyrd at their Glasgow show on their farewell tour.

Great taste WeeGord, Old Peculier is indeed the nectar of the gods, a draught ale that offers the wisdom of Solomon to all who imbibe. It is a maverick and like the Top Gun character, is indeed The Best Of The Best.
I always have a stock in the famous Coluka cabinet of dreams, so would be rude not to uncap a couple tonight



Music wise I will have to find something that embraces the Theakston King Of Ales, so I offer you something dark, tasty and divine. It is a song that sums up my feelings after my first ever pint whilst at The White Bear in Masham aged 17 3/4’s

If someone on here wants to stay in Norton tonight and to be on call just in case something happens with one of my ill and elderly parents then I'd be very happy to go out somewhere. As things stand, it isn't really possible for me to do that.
