The weekend 🍺 and 🎶 thread

Evening folks, another week has passed and another game is upon us. Big game tonight against Burnley and one we must not lose of we've ambitions of hijacking the automatic spots. First game tonight is more crucial than most games I'd think, they're really strong at the back and more than capable of defending of single goal advantage. Of we get the first goal though they'll need to be more expansive if they're to get anything from the game and that plays into our hands. Hopefully we can get at least a point tonight and if so, it's a great platform to follow up against the dirties.

Tonight I'm actually venturing out for a couple (literally) of beers to watch the game so not sure what I'll be drinking yet but likely to be an ale or perhaps a pint of Guinness.

To kick us off with some tunes here's the fantastic Friday I'm In Love and let's hope it's a good omen for 3 points tonight.

Didn't know Whitby Brewery was still going. Had many a Whitby WOBL back in the day. Powerful stuff.

It's the wife's birthday tomorrow, so after just finishing a 15 hour shift, our son is taking us out to the Blackwell Ox at Carlton for our favourite Thai food.

John Prine- This should have been called "My Woman" but he explains why it's called "Aw Heck" at the start of the song- regardless of what it is called, it's certainly the ultimate love song. Just listen to the words and wonder how anyone could write songs like this.

New Wildhearts .... and typically, monster riffs, great melody and hooks for 2 minutes, then it goes off in entirely different (mellow) directions for 5 minutes.
Pretty darned good.

Good evening Mooners, isn't it good to hear that @WeeGord feels up to venturing out for a few sherberts. I'm looking forward to the game and although Burnley is a difficult place to go, I do believe we can get something out of this game.
