The Walk of a Life Time - New Zealand?

Just want to say how much I've loved this thread! Always had an affinity for NZ, would love to visit one day. Keep up with the pics and posts (y)

Oh, thanks for that.
Will get more pics as they come but it sounds like the scenery isn’t as great now.
All relative tho

Not a bad cycle track for 95km

There is a cyclone about to hit us over today and tomorrow. Fortunately Finny it’s mostly going to affect the North Island but looks like Auckland airport is closing again today.

Yeah, read about that.
Sounds like North Island has had a fought time in the last couple of weeks.

We will next be in contact with them later this week when they hit Queenstown

They’ll love Queenstown. Just got back from a week down there.
Mare they spending any time there?

Think they will just be taking a rest day there.
Will depend on when they get there - plan is to be in Bluff on 7th March.

They have flights booked out of Aukland to Japan on 18th and they want to get back to North Island to do the part of the walk that was impassable last time.

Continued good luck with the weather
They have now finished the mountains and are holed up in Queenstown.
Last 4 days they’ve climbed 4000m

90% of the walk completed. Nice easy (but a bit dull for the last 300km).
Expected finish - March 7th 93718846-6CFC-40E7-85C4-320BF4438A8A.jpeg8F3DA566-1F65-4370-BE71-95A7EC7A5BD2.jpeg12577D10-4082-4769-ACDC-9BF6C6452D37.jpeg906C34D3-C0A6-47DD-8DF4-7AEA6141B0A6.jpeg4743F47B-BC5D-4C81-BE5E-28B1F2CBBE82.jpegBC36FB92-CB7B-4B90-8425-FEDE0499126F.jpegB0CAF2A9-AD90-47BD-AC08-C583058CB01B.jpeg
