Great round from Rory smashing. Smith has shown how one bad shot can destroy your round and championship though
 
Rory’s 4th round push was a little too late but at least he really showed us what to expect this season. I’m putting some money on him to win the PGA.

Seems like a regular occurrence for Rory to be the best player on day 4 but only when it doesn't matter. Obviously a mentality thing because he's clearly good enough to win a major again. He just doesn't seem to be able to start and stay in contention so record-breaking day 4s are worthless. Would he have got the -8 if he had been in Smith's position going into day 4? I don't think so. Pressure was completely off, he was just having fun. Great to see still.

I feel like Rory was able to lose a lot of scar tissue yesterday from his collapse in 2011. That must take some getting over.
