Class r00fie1, started going on the speedway before games in the late 70's, as I lived west lane back then & would meet my work mates who were from Stockton for a few pre match pints

I can't even remember what I drank in there. Copper was my local ayingerbrau, yummy. 51p a pint. You could get drunk on pocket money

I used to go to Cleveland Park in the "Tigers" days.
Many a good pint in The Speedway.

My typical Satda route used to be:
Empire - Shipmate - Yellow Rose - Westminster - Ayresome Park. [with variations].

From the Speedway years then in to the yellow rose from the early 80's till the final season, with my dad & mates
