* The Unofficial "Official" FA Cup: Boro v Brighton. Match-Day Thread *

Looking forward to this game. This will be a good test for the players, will be interesting to see what teams he goes with.

Brighton will go virtual reserve team. Hope we don’t do the same as this will be a big opportunity to dump a premier league team and continue the confidence building

I know I'll get pelters for this, but I hope we play well but still go out

Our squad is too thin and this could cost us, like it cost us in 2018-19 and 2021-22, when both years we got to a quarter-final but both years we finished 7th, one place away from a much more important (and realistic) prize to us, play-offs/ promotion.

Most of the Prem Teams will be fielding weaker sides until the quarter-finals and that's another three games (including the quarter-final game).

I don't think there's much to gain confidence-wise, by trying to beat Brighton and losing, or beating a potentially weaker side, only to lose in the subsequent rounds. Confidence is sky-high at the minute, doesn't need to be higher.

Don't get me wrong mind, I think we could beat a full strength Brighton side, and could take on most Prem sides at home, but once the big boys start playing properly in QF and SF, that puts an end to any champo teams hopes (and lower prem teams too).

I didn't think it would be, maybe there will be some links?
it seems there is Andy mamaHD seem to have some as do sporthub.streams. Whether they work or not?

To your point about loosing today. Here's your first "pelter". I would much rather see us win. The squad is a little thin but I don't think it was the reason we finished 7th last year. From the quater finals on, you are right your chance diminishes as the big boys start to play their first teams, however we did do verry well against a very strong man u and spurs last year. It is doable. Statistically since 1990 only 4 times has a team outside the top 6 won the fa cup, Wigan, Leicester, portsmouth and everton. A better statistical question would be, since 1990 how many times has a team outside the top 6 still been in the competition. That I do not know.

Watford heading out as it stands, which would mean our fixture wouldn't be disrupted if we're knocked out.

Obviously prefer we win though.

Does anyone have a link for this as have saved the ticket money for Millwall 😅
