* The Unofficial "Official" Boxing Day, Rotherham v Boro Match-Day Thread *

Carrick is right to warn about over-confidence, because that is the main danger today. Anything can happen in football but as long as we compete with the right attitude, you'd have to fancy us.

Be interesting to see how the squad develops over the coming week or two. A few injured players coming back, with a few on international duty then of course there is the transfer window. Wonder what we look like.

One thing I did notice was that Lewis O'brien was in training gear and moving freely in one of the social media clips (not on the training pitch). Maybe a sign that as he is with us (not his parent club) he is getting closer to fitness?
I am ambivalent about jan signings. If the right player is available to buy at the right price then fine. I am not bothered about getting numbers in. We can compete with what we have and players, as you say, are now coming back.

Well they have not won in 11 matches BUT have prevented both Ipswich and Leeds from taking all 3 points in that run , when visiting. Boro served up the main course with the West Brom win, however, how much of our lads have left enough space for any pudding. Its all down to us , it seems we could have this up to 3 nil, but any lack of interest from enough of our players may mean it's 0 - 0.

I suspect Riley will get his introduction back into the team today.

Should be fun lads and ladies, of course.

Big win incoming.
