* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Sheffield Wednesday [04/24] Match-Day Thread *

Tbh given our injury stats this season, I'd be looking to take Jones off once we should have a game almost wrapped up. He's pretty integral to our play.
Latte Lath too.

Absolutely, but put one of the young lads on. Let’s see if they’re good enough.

We’re putting on Silvera who we know is *****. Dijksteel who we know is leaving and Gilbert who’s already had game time.

Get Pharrell Willis on, see what he can do and if it saves us a transfer in the summer. The season’s done and dusted for us. This is the perfect opportunity.

If the matches and table stays like this, I'd rank the playoff battle for the last 2 places as the following, disregarding the Top 4 for obvious reasons;

West Brom, Norwich, Coventry & Hull serious contenders.
Ourselves and Preston; Slimmer chances.
Cardiff; Rank outsiders.

Everyone else; Not a hope in hell.

Can't believe one of their players is arguing with the ref at the final whistle. What could they possibly have to complain about?!

You seem to be convinced engel is the future. I personally feel we need another left backnot an idiot just not a deluded fan
I didn't say engel was the future. But you did say he was garbage. Let's not make stuff up.

I said he was adapting to a new legue.

Was struggling with the lack of info on here then. Had to look that up outside, in desperation

Comfortable win against a very poor team.

Pity we didn’t take the chances we created but cant complain about anything else in the performance.

It's not though. It's over when it's mathematically impossible, for the team to just give up when they still have any tiny chance would be hugely unprofessional and massively disappointing.

Also how could one game (15 minutes!) against an awful team tell us enough about a young player either way?

Greenwood has played much better to be fair to him. These have been terrible mind.
I only watched the 2nd half but he was terrible again. Was he better in the first half? If there was a way to get a quick highlight package of the 2nd half only showing the end of every possession then Greenwood would be the majority of them. Same reason as usual due to bad decision making. Holding onto the ball when he shouldn't and being tackled, dribbling to nowhere, shooting when he shouldn't, poor passing and the penalty miss is the icing on the cake.

I'll be really disappointed if he's still with us next season.

It is. We’re what, 6 points off? Every team ahead of us has at least one game in hand. We’re banking on 4 teams falling away and us winning every game.

You’re not likely to see if any of them are good enough from ten minutes at the end of one game playing out a win.

Were any of us any closer to knowing if Law McCabe is good enough off the back of the 15 minutes he got coming on when we hammered Preston at home?

Starting to get on my nerves people going on and on about bringing on The Kids™️ all the time at this point. You might see the season as done and dusted, Carrick obviously wants to try and finish as strong as possible trying to win games instead of just handing out a load of debuts.
