It’s abundantly clear that he and Forss were not Wilder’s signings but Scott’s. Interesting because they were the only ones we paid transfer fees for. Wilder protests this by not playing them evidently.

Chris wilder went into detail in his Friday Media conference about the process of analysis and reflection, over the start of the season and particularly the defeat against Cardiff. He`s been in this situation before, but that doesnt make it any less painful for the club, the fans and the Management team. Asked for his response as to "why2 we are in the current situation, Chris took time to explain what questions the Management Team have asked of themselves this week - and analysed in detail where are they going wrong(?).
These key areas include:

* What skills do the players and the Management Team have to improve the team and performances?
* Is the formation a problem?
* Is the Team Selection the problem?
* What do we need to do to tweak training, approach, coaching and Management?
* Is the system effecting results?
* Are we too open?
* What does video and stats analysis tell us about individual players and identifying individual mistakes?

Its clearly a far more complicated approach than giving someone a rollocking and expecting them to perform. Chris was under no illusion that the task to resolve the issues isnt easy, but he works better under pressure.

As he explained: "Its easy to Manage when the Team is winning". Its when they are not playing well, that everyone has to reflect and step up to the challenge...."maybe [we have to] sacrifice part of our game to reset and go again(?)".

Its not a question of players "attitude" - "they wouldnt be playing for me if their attitude was poor".

"I will take players out of the team if necessary".

So its clear...."when it gets tough - we dig in..."!

Looks like a 3 when defending but McGree is definitely moving a lot further forward when we're attacking with Crooks and Howson sitting back a bit.
