The unofficial "Official" Boro v Reading Match-day Thread.

Not a bad week that.
Two wins and red card rescinded in between.
This league seems all about momentum - snakes and ladders. Look at Brentford on the slide and Reading 3 home defeats in a row. I think we need to remember this as fans - that everyone is leaping forward or sliding back. The same will happen to us again no doubt, momentum in both directions. Got to just keep our heads. And not be knee jerk.
Give over man! Jerk those knees! Jerk those knees!!!

A very comfortable win, with ease too

3 points behind Bournemouth, 4 maybe with difference in GD, a long way to go & a lot of points to play for

Another reason I'm glad we won is that the pressure on Warnock from some of the fans had started to build before this week.

I love having him as our manager, so I'm very happy that 2 wins in a row will release some of that.

Really want him to stay another year, whatever happens.

Is fletcher slightly flat footed, wonder if that’s why he always looks a bit clumsy on the ball
I don't know, but he was good today
I'd go as far as to say a player coming back from a long lay off - and who apparently was off the pace for the under 23s a few weeks back - has put them 2 clowns' 'performances' in recent weeks in perspective
I don't even want them on the bench for the rest of the season
Fletcher has to start if fit

Betinelli 7 - didn't have a lot to do, but was confident
Fisher 8 - played really well when matched up against a very good player, looked tired when he came off
Bola 9 - superb performance great goal, took 92 mins to create a mistake
Fry 10 - never put a foot wrong
McNair 9 - great foil for Fry, should have scored
Dijksteel 8 - Improved again
Morsy 9 - easily his best performance in a Boro shirt, ran the midfield
Howson 8 - Same as usual
Kebano 8 - Showed real on the ball quality
Watmore 8 - they were petrified of his pace
Fletcher 8 - Lead the line, held the ball up and occupied their defenders. Looked knackered the last 20, but his fitness will keep coming

Johnson 8 - was areal impact sub with his pace
Mendez-Laing 7 - put himself about
Saville 8 - his extra legs helped see the game out and got into the 6 yard box to try and slide a late goal in

Cardiff, qpr and barnsley are teams to watch with their current form. We need a good run of wins, if those teams can do it (qpr 6 wins in 7), then we should be able to as well
Millwall also, another draw! Only 7 defeats all season but their fans will also be saying “If only we could get Zahore fit”! QPR have beaten Brentford, Blackburn, Watford and Bournemouth in their last four games! This League!

Big week coming up, and a big chance for us on Tuesday. Us at home to Bristol City, Cardiff away at Bournemouth. Then Cardiff at home next Saturday. Fortunately we seem to have found a bit of form at the right time.
Yes but we've been there before a good run of results then hit the destruct button & fall away for a couple of games, recharge our batteries & come back in to the reckoning

If we can show a bit more consistency we'll acheive our aim & get in to the top 6

Yes it’s exciting. Worry about the Bristol game though. Lost their last 6 games and haven’t scored in their last 5. You just know who is going to score for them don’t you? Still can’t spell his name though!
