Blackpool are well set up, I’m a big fan of their manager.
I’m also a big fan of Tav but he’s not on it today, I think he’ll stay on just because he’s got a left foot, we’re very lop sided
 
I'd say it was an even and scrappy half, though we had marginally better chances.

The change in our defence seems to be impacting us, Bamba is not as comfortable on the ball as McNair.

Comfortable defensively and in possession.

One or two heavy touched but largely solid

Dael Fry -6
A couple of crucial blocks. Booked.

Isaiah Jones - 7
Boro's brightest. Boro's three real chances have all come from Jones on the right.

Lee Peltier - 5
Hasn't provided the same energy as Taylor on that left side. Missed a great chance.

Paddy McNair - 6
Sitting at the base of the midfield, allowing Tavernier and Crooks to push on. Couple of good runs beyond the defence.

Matt Crooks - 6
Some classy touches. Linking up well with Jones on right.

Marcus Tavernier - 6
Not has as much of a say on the game as he'd have liked.

Andraz Sporar - 6
Good movement. A couple of chances.

Onel Hernandez - 5
Quiet. Had a great chance when in one-on-one but his effort was saved.
 
I think we are missing Howson abit. No one seems to be putting their foot on the ball and calming it down.

Seem to have been brought down to a level of kick and rush we havent seen since CW came in.

Hopefully he can sort it at half time
