Been reading the match thread on Blackburn's site. For a team in the position they are in they don't exactly exude 100% confidence.

Rovers know their recent defeat by struggling Hull City means they have to bounce back [But not tonight]

Jan Paul van Hecke says Rovers are ‘desperate’ to respond in the right way when Middlesbrough make the trip to Ewood Park this evening.

There was disappointment all round when Rovers’ ten-game unbeaten streak couldn’t be extended against Hull City in midweek, with the Tigers earning the three points on home turf on Wednesday night.

The Championship’s two form sides meet this evening in East Lancashire, with Chris Wilder’s visitors looking to make it six successive wins in all competitions.

Rovers have been hurting since returning from Hull, but van Hecke believes there’s a steely determination in the camp to produce the perfect response.

“We’re all desperate to get a win, especially after the result at Hull in midweek,” the Dutchman told RoversTV ahead of the contest.

“Having gone ten games without defeat, we didn’t expect to lose at Hull.

“We weren’t good enough, it wasn’t our best game and we gave away some easy goals.

“Middlesbrough is a new game against a tough opponent and it’s a game we can win.

“We need to be better, starting again against Middlesbrough. Like us, they’re in good form and I’m sure it will be a good game.

“It’s a massive match for both sides and the aim for us is to bounce back with a win.

“We have a big next couple of weeks coming up and we have opportunities to get important points.”

Can't wait for this game, all the fixtures all weekend have been pretty drab, hope ours doesn't follow suit.

Seems a good time to play them, especially with Ben Diaz away and their form stuttering .. just can't give a prediction though.
