* The Unofficial “Official” Boro v Rotherham Match-Day Thread *

Today was rubbish, after two great results in our previous two games.
I'm not sure our form is that bad, if that injury time goal was given and seems like we were unlucky with the decision, that would have been 5 wins in 7 games.
Coventry are in great form, but that doesn't guarantee that'll definitely continue for the rest of the season, also WBA lost again today, they're not uncatchable.
Three points is absolutely nothing over the course of a season, we need to improve our consistency but with Carrick in charge and a decent squad I think that.we can reach the play offs. Then who knows.
Our league form isn't good if we're trying to get in to the playoffs. Since the start of December it's LLLWWLWLWD, it's only a matter of time before the teams above us pull away from us if we don't improve.

Might be unpopular, but thought we showed character getting a point there. Plenty of positives witn Forss, Clarke and O’Brien getting minutes in. Ok, should have been three points, but too often we’ve got nothing this season when we should have had a point. Still battling for that sixth spot. Hull away could be crucial!

Thats roughly our form for the season so far. However that is with lots of injuries. The teams above us have not pulled away from us, suggesting they are getting a similar return to us.

We do have to improve, but there is no reason why we shouldn't given players returning from injury and getting back up to speed.

I thought Jones was a big loss today, pace on the counter may have been particularly effective today, something which we just didn't do.

I think you've added an extra D there...
We definitely haven't drawn our last two games.
I won't do the obvious joke about double DDs.
Unless I just did..
The thing with stats is, if you start them in the right place they'll always suit your argument.
So I'm saying..13 points from our last 7 games. Promotion form.😉

Did Greenwood really have as good as a first half as some on here have suggested?

He ran around a lot, closed down a bit, sometimes unnecessarily.

Can’t remember him doing much else to be honest.

Thought he was good in the first half.

Put in a proper shift, had our best chance of the half with his shot from outside the box.

Sadly reverted to type in the second.

Yeah, sorry, you're right. Todays performance was fine and we'll definitely still be challenging for the playoffs playing like that and dropping points every other game and struggling to put away bottom of the league teams.

Coventry have lost once in their last 13 league games, we've lost 6. A playoff push isn't sustainable with that kind form, up against the form of other teams like that.
👍Nothing like a dose of reality check.
