Rob is right, of course we were indeed blue at the start - when we were a bit mixed up. However, we'd binned off that filth and were into the red by 1899

I would disagree with rob saying we wore blue shirts in Victorian times.. they look to be predominantly white. Plus we had a longer instance of the red kit with the white sash that is not shown.

He’ll be telling us captain cook’s ship was painted blue next!

I heard a programme on Radio Tees that said originally to get to Stockton you had to get a ferry.There was two firms in competition running ferries between Boro and Stockton.These became obsolete with road and eventually the bridge being built.

Would still be blue if you played it and can no longer call it the Transporter Blues. Transporter Reds doesn’t have the same ring to it

It is a 3 string but not made using a cigar box. If we get hammered I’ll put a 6 string on instead lol

Can you adapt Terrapin Blues to Transporter Blues ?

Terrapin was some old fancy Ford motor I believe - not a tortoise. I 'm sure one of the old Blues legends recoded it - Howling Wolf , maybe ?

My other half is making them, and I paint the odd one. We did one for Gordon Giltrap if you’ve heard of him ?

Thanks Jannizart - terraplane. I either cannot spell or cannot remember and Robert johnson - probably the "daddy" of them all. Recorded less than 30 tracks and was the first blues man to be recorded with an electric guitar

He has a lot to answer for !

I suppose you could change the lines "driving my Terraplane" to "Riding the Transporter" - not sure it works that well
