The guy doing the interviews surely must be employed by the club. Why didnt he say the goals conceded were appalling and why is it Fry and Lenihan cannot defend set pieces. The back 4 look all over the place. Carrick cannot keep saying that he thinks we controlled the game and played well. Controlling the game by passing it backwards and sidewards doesn't win you games.

How can Carrick say we have been unlucky, we have shipped 9 goals and scored 3. Schoolboy defending, Smith getting ripped a new a**e yesterday, too slow and stupid fouls given away, diving in when not needed.

Is Carrick still going to be saying the same after 10 games, we don't have time to wait till they start to gel, we will be miles behind the top 6 if we keep defending like we do.
 
It's like Russian media asking Putin about the war in Ukraine. They can't critise or ask the difficult questions it's same in the normal press conference if they do the club bans then

Well I agree about Smith being too slow. Have never understood the love in for him. OK he's a leader but Dijksteel is far quicker and far better going forward. Smith should be our 3rd choice right back. Hence why we need a new right back.

Tighten at the back playing a protective midfielder to shore up the defence, don’t let crooks anywhere near the pitch. Go 5 at the back with wing backs, buy a number 10 and a cdm. There are some of my solutions, if you don’t concede you don’t get beat.
But I’m not picking the team and I don’t get paid handsomely like Carrick.
Get rid of Woodgate as he obviously isn’t doing any defensive training and if he is then he should be sacked.
