Who does everyone think will miss out on the England squad?

I think GS will risk Maguire and Jordan Henderson, so I’m guessing...

Ramsdale
Alexander-Arnold
Godfrey
White
Greenwood
Saka
Lingard

The reports are that Alexander-Arnold is missing out.

Ramsdale is nailed on to drop out too.

I also think Godfrey and Saka will be gone.
 
I still can’t see the point naming 7 taking up

I presume it was just in case any of the 12 England players in the European Cup finals were injured, or if Henderson or Maguire didn't recover quick enough.
 
That’s why the 7 are there to give the 12 CL players extra rest and cover for any injuries.
May see more of starting 11 in 2nd game at Riverside.
 
I really think TAA and Ward Prowse should go. Simply got their set piece ability, whether that be corners free kicks or pens.

Obviously you’ve got to take your best players in each position and in most positions you’ve then got to take the 2nd best players for the position but I’d always look to take 1 or 2 players (I.e TAA or JWP) simply for their set piece ability.

They could spend almost the entire tournamount on the bench but then come in for the last few minutes of a game / or during extra time and change the game with a free kick or corner.

Or if it went to pens I’d rather one of this lads be stepping up for the 4th/5th/6th/7th pen etc than Rice/Walker/James etc.
 
Ah, apparently you can change the squad at any point before the first Euros match.

So presumably the 7 will still hang about in case any injuries crop up before then.
 
I know I'll be in the minority, but I really don't get all the fuss about Reece James - everyone goes on about how he kept Sterling quiet on Saturday, but a) Djed Spence could probably do that at the moment (exaggeration for effect ;) ) , and b) it was actually Havertz that kept him quiet by doubling up in front of James.

We did alright from free kicks last time etc with trippier etc
 
I'd be very shocked if he left Lingard out - so far I think Southgate has done a pretty decent job in terms of sticking to his word and picking people based on form.
 
Lingard, JWP, Greenwood, TAA are 4 of the 7 so far.

Assuming Ramsdale plus one or both of Godfrey & White.

Plus one or both of Saka & Watkins will be the other 3

They should at least be playing tomorrow, it has been confirmed that the 12 players in the cup finals won't be playing until Sunday at the earliest and the ones in the champions League final probably won't play even then.
