Two brilliant quarter finals.

GB coming from 21-0 down to beat USA was the hors d’oeveres

But the main course was SA v Argentina. Well worth watching the highlights. Quite a match.

Fantastic entertainment, I love watching the Sevens.

Embarrassingly I'd went in to the other room to have my breakfast when the Argentines went down to 6 men, I didn't even realise they'd won against the odds until half an hour later.

Argentina could be ones to watch here. Their defeat of Australia was also noteworthy.
Surely the smart money of still on Fiji? Or maybe New Zealand

That SA v Argentina match was something else. For the first time in my life ever I was cheering the Argies on.
That lad Marcos Moneta was terrific.

Bronze medal match underway. This one will be tough. Both teams want to bounce back!

good start for Tom GB: 1st minute try v Argentina

Ex Quin Ollie Lyndsey-Hague is having a nightmare here. Gave the ball away twice in quick succession then let his man go for a try

A shame how it ended, hopefully Fiji defend their title.
I hope so, I love how they play. I know this is the standard 7s format with lots of games in quick succession but it really had an effect on this game. Both sides missing key men. Not really the Olympic spirit to have weakened teams in layer stages

That is so good to see.

Fiji's 2nd medal in their history, and it's a successful title defence.

The players are crying at the final whistle.

Wow really impressive from Fiji. Don't think anyone could have lived with that.
Second olympics running they’ve just been so strong. Great resistance from New Zealand but Fiji put so much pressure on you. You have to be so clinical and in such a high speed game: it’s harder to not make mistakes than in 15s. No time to think really
