I am just watching this on catch up.

I love this programme and think they are all geniuses the way they can restore things. It is great how they can bring peoples treasured possessions back to life and open the door to their memories of loved ones.

What would you take in to be restored?
My wife loves the program, she's really into it

I love to watch anyone is passionate in their field & they certainly are, as skilled as can be

I like to watch the lad who restores the wooden items/furniture , the lady who restores the paintings and the lady who repairs broken pottery is exceptional. My favourites though are Susie the leather maker and her brother who just seem to know how everything works. How good are these two.

But what does Jay do. You see him tinkering but never restoring anything.

These people who get their stuff fixed for free. Are they contractually obliged to fake a breakdown when it the restoration is revealed? Do they know that you can buy Steif teddy bears, brand new?

He's a furniture restorer in his own right, but I think he's basically just the "introducer" on the show, He's got quite an interesting back story actually (from half way down the article)...

Yeah I read an article with him at the weekend in the Sunday Times. My point was more people questioning his role on the show, but wouldn't do the same for say Tess Daley or AN other presenter.
