The penalty.

Haven't had a drink in almost 6 years fella.

It's you that sounds drunk...'the problem with our Josh is that he's not as good as the best striker in the world'.

Lunatic's view.
You need to reading lesson then pal because I was explaining (only) why Kane is a good penalty taker and nothing else but you choose to take that out of context and claim I’m comparing the two which would be ridiculous, understand your error now ? (Just trying to help you)

I’ve seen on videotape him blast a few
Ha ha -and you're basing your argument on that !! What about all our other penalty takers in history ? How are you discounting them ?

What you actually mean is that in your opinion, Leadbitter is the best penalty taker you've seen - no more than that.

"I’d argue forever that grant leadbitter is our finest penalty taker in our history given his concentration, confidence and ruthlessness when stepping up"

Nope - thought not - no imho in there - I'll leave Specsavers for now thanks "pal"

I’ve seen on videotape him blast a few which for me is flawed because anyone can blast it. Not saying he wasn’t a great penalty taker but leadbitter was a wonderful penalty taker
How come Leadbitter missed so many then?

He scored 30 out of 38.

We all know the keeper who saved the one that Hickton didn't score from.

You’re coming across as a complete d1ckhead tbh.

I'm too young to have seen Hickton, but statistically he's the best I think? (don't know how many he missed, sounds like very few).

Of more recent times it's Grant or Yak.

Grant is scored 18 missed 4 (82%)

Yak is scored 10 missed 2 (83%)

Very little in it and both well above average.

I'm just surprised no-one has mentioned Britt yet.

Not too fussed who takes them as long as they hit them properly and go for the corners of the goal. Not a fan of these dinkers or passing it into the net. Put a bit of pace on it and even if the keeper gets a hand on it then it might be pacey enough to go in regardless.
I'd imagine it's one of those things that players practice if they've any intention of doing it regularly.

John Hickton scored 36 pens for us.
I can only remember one he missed v Hull at Ayresome in FA Cup. Ian McKechnie was the keeper.
Anyone remember any other Hickton misses?
