* The Original Unofficial "Official" Boro v Rotherham United Match-Day Thread *

We have to realise that we need to play at a high tempo for our ability to shine through, slow to nearly walking football versus teams that sit back and defend is eventually our undoing in games like these.

Oh, and I really don’t see the point in pumping balls into the box on corners and set pieces, we are not a tall team, we should either shoot from free kicks where feasible or play short and try to work openings, same with corners too, we need to play to our strengths not the oppositions.

Ramsey has been a huge miss for me, his link up play is key to our attack minded system and we need him back pronto.
Barlaser slows it down for me. Literally walks with the football

There's a few on here to be fair.

Glad Rotherham staying up, but in truth they didn't deserve to win they game.

We never really got going, lacked any intensity and played like it was a dead rubber for us, which it was.

I've no doubt at all we'll be at it for the play off games.
I thought we played "crap" at times, but that`s because we have set the bar so high.
The Keith Stroud Circus just made a complete farse of a game.
I know his parentage is questionable, but he needs an eye test.
Lets get with the swing and get into that promotion groove. (y)

Poor performance from us, but it wasn't helped by what I can safely say was the worst refereeing performance of the season.

Keith Stroud is dreadful, it's not like he favoured Rotherham either, he just gave and withheld fouls at random.
No rhythm or rhyme to it, just an incompetent referee.

I saw Howson walk past our coach a few minutes ago and he didn't seem noticeably injured, so I'm hoping it's just being very cautious with the play-offs in mind.
That's the only thing that counts today really. Howson being ok, hopefully, is more important than the result that loads of people are whining about 👶

There was that one moment where he waved away Rotherham's protests about Lenihan's foul (probably couldn't bring himself to repeat his decision from earlier) then instantly tried to make up for it by giving them a FK for a wonderful tackle by Mowatt as we broke away. Both sets of fans angered in the space of 10 seconds.

Yeah, the home and away fans both chanting against the same referee is always a bad sign.

Carrick saying two big decisions this week have effected games.
He says Djiksteel`s sending off changed the game.
"Strange decision".
"It was a game of two halfs in some ways".
Howson? - No news yet.
"We`ve got great things ahead and we`re looking forward to that".

Well said Michael Carrick!

Keith would like to thank you and hope you enjoyed his little show...

Big one is Fry. If he doesn't play against Coventry, can't see him playing again this season. Would be a big ask for him to come back in one of the play-off games, having not played regularly for the best part of a month/6 weeks.
