I did wonder about Giles when the pictures emerged of him back at Wolves. Hopefully just he has been given a rest to freshen up as he has been an ever present and it gives bola another game to raise his levels

It was pointed out on the other place that he was at the Boro U18s game the other day, and didn't seem to be injured.

Fingers crossed it's just resting.

Bola will probably look better today as a natural left back.

I wouldn’t read too much into it. Even if he has a slight knock he’d normally play with I can’t imagine Carrick risking him.

No sense being on bench either as not like we’d throw him on even if losing.

I dont think we should read too much in Giles not being in the squad. The same could have been said of Jones, Djiksteel, Muniz, Barlaser......a while back. Like Carrick says: he believes in all of them and they`ve proven they can slot in together without any problem.
Up the Boro

I am sure Carrick will be quized on Giles. Giles didn't take any knocks of late in games that I can remember. My guess is that he has been given a bit of time off and and they want to give Bola some match experience.

Ramsay, Giles, Fry and Forss - the key players missing.

Happy with that team, Bola in a more defensive role which suits him, McGree back on the left, Barlaser played really well against Luton, pleased he's having another chance to shine, Akpom back at 10.
It looks like a well balanced team.
