* The Original Unofficial "Official" Boro v Reading Match-Day Thread *

If Forss is our designated penalty taker which I suspect it is, then it’s professional. GD can be important.

They were talking on the radio on the way back home about some disagreement between Forss and Chuba for the Pen, I didn't see that at the time though.

Also I don't know if I'm reading too much into it but I didn't see many players congratulate Forss when he scored and then Forss was first off down the tunnel at the end of the match well before the others came off the pitch. Hopefully there's nothing in it as we played some really good stuff and are looking good.

👍 and was that a clean shaven Yusuf conducting them.😀 Great to see so many youngsters at the match.

Yusuf is now officially the pied piper the way dozens of kids were running around to be part of it. The stewards didnt know what to do .. they were getting ready for a pitch invasion!

This made me chuckle too

I was watching the players when the taker was being decided. Both Cuba and Archer were happy for Forss to take it. No issues at all.

Well.. what a great day…

A good response to last week…

The difference for me was how we mixed up our pay, I felt we were too narrow and one dimensional last week… this week we went back to being difficult to deal with.. they never knew what route our attack was coming from…

Ramsey akpom and archer on fire.. Mcgree howson and Hackney controlled and solid and the defence had carrol in their pocket… tbh I felt sorry for him, he was their striker, link up and defence.. if he wasn’t a geordie I’d be impressed with him

What’s your point? Forss wasn’t exactly going to run off the bench American football style to lash in the first. Akpom was the designated penalty taker on the pitch at the time.

Took the ball off Chuba according to an interview after the game. Chuba's reply was he is a team player and wants the goals to be shared around the team. Very professional answer. We've seen it before where 2 players literally have it out with each other who is taking a pen

I do think Forss is the better penalty taker from what I’ve seen from them so far (bit lucky today)

Their keeper was pretty crap mind (he’d have to be with Lumley keeping him out)

I reckon Chuba wanted it but didn't want to make a scene. Personally I think Forss should have given him the option.

Remember a game at the Riverside in 2015 where Kike and Bamford argued, then whoever won the argument (can't recall who) missed the pen.
