Pretty blunt that isn’t it.
and still no birthday message.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Gibson was holding out in the hope that Wilder was going to take the Bournemouth job, especially when he was made favourite for the job. That way we'd have gotten compensation.I genuinely did think there may have been a breakdown in the relationship when they didn't wish him happy birthday, tbf.
Maybe the decision not to start our two best performers during our record worst start was a tactic to get paid off?I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Gibson was holding out in the hope that Wilder was going to take the Bournemouth job, especially when he was made favourite for the job. Maybe the decision not to wish him happy birthday was another tactic to wind him up.
He's been sacked, so he can't be on 'gardening leave' too.He might be on gardening leave and can't go anywhere unless he gives up some of his pay off. Am sure when we appointed Mogga, he had to give up some of his pay off from Celtic.
Has he though? The statement says his contract has been terminated with immediate effect. Its probably the same thing and just wording. I don't think Wilder would accept gardening leave though. He's been sacked, so he can't be on 'gardening leave' too.
Terminated means he's been sacked i.e. he no longer has a contract with MFC.Has he though? The statement says his contract has been terminated with immediate effect. I don't think Wilder would accept gardening leave though.
"The club would like to place on record its thanks to Chris and his staff for all their hard work over the past 11 months."Yes, first thing I thought when I read it - very cold and blunt which says a lot.
Clearly something has gone on which has destroyed the relationships within the club.
Even when results have been poor there are usually some words of thanks and best wishes for the future.
See the words used by Wolves when sacking Bruno Lage.
Agreed, but you don't become a poor manager over night. Whilst it seems like he couldn't operate at our club I'd still back to do very well elsewhere in future.Terminated means he's been sacked i.e. he no longer has a contract with MFC.
It will be interesting to see what Wilder does next, but the last 11 months definitely won't look good on his CV.
