The new Argentinian president.

An incredibly dangerous individual with some completely off-the-scale views and a strong mandate to deliver them. John Oliver did a very good piece on him few weeks back, worth searching out.

Looked like global populism may have been on the decline but this bucks that trend unfortunately.

There was a good bit on John Oliver about him the other day. He takes policy advice from his dogs and the ghost of one. Who he appears to have been F***ing.

Also likes to tell people openly about his tantric sex..

Definitely has some form of autism, to put it lightly.

bit unfair on the autistic folks..

South America for all it's samba carnival reputation and silky football skills.. they come across as properly right wing.. good old animal fcuker with a big grin and a fine cigar.

100% Hitler was rattling Alsatians over there way into his twilight.

I bought and read this recently......
about how the USA accommodated former high ranking SS officers and prominent Staff from Hitler`s Third Reich.
Some became senior officials in the CIA and officers in Local Government and National Politics.

Argentina tends to have quite radical politics. In recent times its been left wing. However in the 1970s and 80s they did have a right wing military dictatorship. Left wing supporters often disappeared in that period.

Often the phrase Peronist is used which is basically left wing socialist with Military Uniforms. Peronist politicians tend to be generous on welfare and public spendng and finance it by printing money (Peso) hence 140% inflation. Since the 1940s Argentina has gone from a relatively wealthy country to a relatively poor one. Before WW2 many Europeans emigrated to Argentina for a better live. My granny's best friend at School left Cannon Street area of Middlesbrough to emigrate to Argentina around 1919 for a better life. My granny said she was the only person in her class at school when asked to draw the Transporter remembered the V in the middle.
