The Mackem fans interviewed before the game

After they beat us last season they were clearly the best team in the league weren't they? 2-0 after 45 mins against 10 men at home.

Not sure what that makes us now then following that logic. Champions League level?

Reading that 'Boro forum' thread back on SMB is hilarious.

A few months back they were claiming hardly any of our players would get into their team.

I wonder if their opinions have changed.

TBF looking at the Ready to go home board, there are a lot blaming the ref, but even more blaming the player for mouthing off when on a yellow.

No one made him do that and they should blame Ill discipline before blaming the ref. Many of them do.

I was disappointed to hear the crow applaud Neil off the pitch. Time was, when you got sent off, you'd disgraced your club and would be booed off by your own fans. I can recall that happening in the late 80s

I can also remember fans booing someone who was sent off and also a commentator questioning why the fans clapped a player who had let himself, his team mates, supporters and family down.

It’s one of those sendings of which after a little time the sensible fans see how stupid their player has been. Can’t imagine Mogga was too happy behind closed doors.

They see there club more than it is they always have done. They see themselves in the Leeds Newcastle West Ham villa group. There more like a wolves Norwich or Boro. Blind confidence and delusion. We on the other hand are the opposite exact opposite we always see ourselves below what we are. There a yo-yo club. They benefit from a good Pricing structure unlike us which helps them fill there ground. They’ll be up there this season but even if they go up what will Sunderland ever really do? They will lose fans every year to big Saudi brothers Newcastle they don’t have a wealthy owner and when they start to struggle in the premier league they’ll be back to a hardcore of around 35,000. There crowds and support is obviously decent but does anyone see them as anything other than a bit of a tip up north with a set of hardcore nutters who go through thick and thin? No different to a boro or stoke rant other haha
