The last of us

Last episode only has a run time of 43 mins so likelyhood IMO is that
there will be no infected interaction
and will focus on
What happens to Ellie and the Firefly's

The creators have said it will conclude the 1st season just like the game
I expect a little nod to Season 2 also

Creators also indicating that the remaining content would take more than 1 season to tell, so expect the 2nd game to cover 2 or 3 seasons and will be a lot darker than the 3rd

I`ve played the games and whilst yes you do know what`s coming it hasn`t taken anything away from the TV show

The last episode is going to be amazing

I haven't played the game but I really like the show. I think even though some episodes have been intentionally slow paced, it's moved along a bit more quickly than some shows in terms of jumping from one place to the next and killing off people who have only been there for an episode or two. The Walking Dead would have stretched the first two episodes, episodes 4-5, episode 6 and episode 8 over full seasons.

One thing I don't quite get re you gamers is that surely the fact you know what's about to happen is taking the edge off a bit?
Yeah it does, but it’s still great to see it all acted out by real people. Suppose it’s just like watching a remake of an old classic movie that you’ve already seen.

Watching episode 8 as I write this, this was my most anticipated chapter.

In the game are there multiple possible scenarios? Or does it always play out the way it is coming out on screen? I have never really been a gamer, not since the days of Streetfighter 2 anyway, so I can’t hypothesise.

Have to give the show credit for winning me over as I was as cynical as anyone during the first few episodes.

No it’s very linear and the main plot will always progress in the same way.

I like that in games though to be honest, it’s why I love the Resident Evil games. I wish someone with a big budget would do what they’ve done with The Last of Us with those games, instead of the cheesy, almost B-rated movies they did.
