In fairness, I'd forgotten they were still in the cup too.

However, if we drop any points before then, it gives them a chance of sewing it up that day.

I suppose a couple of SU defeats would mean it was on too.

Whatever, I can't see it being in the bag before we play them.

I think we can win 7 out of 10 draw 1 and losr maybe 2 . Possibly burney and luton away. Could be other variations but that would put us on 85 points. We dont seem to draw much.

I keep reminding myself that we've won 11 of the last 13.

8 wins in 10 suddenly doesn't feel implausible.

All good runs end. However, each time we lose, I feel confident we can pick ourselves up and win the next 4 or 5

Given our form I would settle for -

5 wins and 1 draw from our remaining Home games

and

2 wins and 2 draws from our remaining Away games

That`s 24 points
 
If I was being kind to Sheff U -

3 wins and 2 draws from their remaining Home games

and

2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses from their remaining Away games

That`s 18 points
 
the games against Norwich and Burnley look key ( well they all are but stay with me )

We have them at Home, whilst Sheff Utd have them away

I have us getting 4 points from ours and them zero

Any deviation in those results swings the auto spot back to them

It`s gunna be tight and like others have said it looks like it goes down to the last game
 
If you assume 2 points a game for Sheff United that gets them to 87 points. And we would need 24 points from 30 to finish level on points. 8 wins out of 10.

I don't think they are playing well enough to quite get that. My gut feel is that 85 points would get us promoted. 7 wins and a draw. It's definitely achievable.

Also would expect us to smash them in the goal difference stakes over the next 10 games because we simply have more goals in us than them

I said on another thread we have it in us to win all 10. Probably won't, but if any team can then it is us.
The front 4, plus Forss and Crooks if called on all have goals in them so we aren't reliant on one man.
Now, if our defenders and midfield start chipping in with a couple then all the better.
As fans we need to stop worrying and just trust that Carrick, who lets face it, knows a thing or two about title run ins, manges the lads performances. What we've seen from him so far should give us plenty of confidence that he has that side of the job well boxed off and any defeat we do suffer won't carry over into the next game.

I know they're in the middle of a procession, but Burnley have an interesting Easter weekend of Boro on Friday and Sheff U on Monday.
