Everything I wanted and more.
I have read the first two books but now the dilemma. Do I read the rest of the books or wait till after the final series next year?
 
Yeah, it is quite confusing ... I’m upto the bit where the 4 ice miners who are drifting are just about to meet with the former Whoever....he sent them a come see me message

Stick with it TC let some things wash over you at first. You will have a "Oh that's why" moment later in the series
 
I've not watched this yet, but given the final season seems to have been cancelled, is it worth watching the first 5 seasons?

It hasn't been cancelled at all, it was picked up in November last year. The creators of the show were always contracted for a six season run, so the next season is the final one with Amazon. Considering there are still 3 books in the series after season 6, it may well get picked up by another streaming service. That's the only unknown right now with it, where it could potentially be for season 7 and when that would happen.
 
If you like sci-fi it’s great. Best sci-fi series since battlestar galactica remake for me

It’s in 4k on amazon and the music and effects are good.
 
Weather they do it or not though is anyone’s guess, without going in to detail there is a large time jump after what will Be season 6, so that and the Alex issue might complicate things but I sure hope they can sort it out as it’s great

Amazon actually picked it up after the first two series by the original makers SciFy (forget the actual name) who were not going ahead with a 3rd series.
