The end?

I can't tell you everything that is going on in Bilhorod and Kursk, nor what the plan is (and there is one .... but it is flexible) ... but 3 Russian battalions have surrendered to the Free Russia brigades. There's a fair bit of screaming on the Russian Telegram channels because the authorities are saying that they defeated the interlopers two days ago. It's a bit ugly on the ground though. Happy election days.
All this info is coming via, which I believe you know about:

I'm getting mine via Whatsapp at the moment, because Russia is rage droning at the moment, so my pal is in his basement .... teaching English to Ukrainian schoolkids, who are also sheltering.

On the subject of which, he thinks he saw a Shaheed being nixed by a laser earlier this evening (he was smoking on his balcony). This is not "confirmed" ... so I wouldn't share it on arrse, but he thinks maybe the British laser AD is being trialled.

He will be explaining to the French people what is already happening, and why. He has signed a mutual defence pact with Ukraine, which basically means they're in with them. They'll mostly be in Western Ukraine, "policing" .... border patrols etc But they've got Rafales flying missions already, and have had for a while. European leaders all had sight of Russia's long term plans. Some have reacted overtly, like Macron, some covertly. Some are more "all in" than others. Germany is a little reticent. But, they all recognised the threat to long term European peace and stability being posed by the current Moscow regime. Macron is, of course, making political capital out of it ... and it will particularly give him some "glowing cheeks" that he is "leading" and Scholtz is "prevaricating". Anyway, that's what I think it will be about.
Macron does himself no political harm realesing this from 4 days befor the Ruzzians crossed the border

So ...forgive my basic assessment of this breaking news

But that is now NATO troops on the ground...even if its just French solider dispatched by MACRON ...this will surely be used as a reason to escalate by PUTIN

Can anyone provide some context?

I agree.
How can Macron sends troops without NATO agreement?
Hang on. Surely, this would be headline news all over the world? I can't find anything from a quick google.

EDIT: Fu.ck Twitter. Its all a load of bollox. Loads of spoofing of 'news' saying Macron has said this and that. Panic over.

It's really important to understand I'm anti-war, peace loving and find the death of innocents abhorrent.

What I do need to say, however, is that we've been brought to the brink of a European war by a dictator stuck in an imperial past. He's tried dto take Ukraine by force, and his inability to do so with his ridiculous 3-day plan to march on Kyiv has taken him closer to the edge. We need to fight this aggression and stop this. In a perfect world he'd be removed by Russians, whether by the vote (not going to happen with the corruption in Russia) or by the bullet.

Without it, we're facing a future humankind has never seen.

French troops will go into Ukraine in supporting roles .... as I said, mostly in western Ukraine. They are already there ... training. More will follow. There's no issue at all with NATO. Not NATO business. EU business, or should I say JEDI business. France is already supporting Ukraine with hardware and munitions .... Rafales, Meteors, SCALP etc.
I know some people will be worried by this, squeamish. There will be more to follow. Macron is only doing publicly what Sweden did on the quiet a year ago. Sweden is though, more directly threatened by Putin's mob. My friends in the far North of Sweden have lived with the very real threat of Russian invasion for many years now. We are lucky that, militarily, we've only had the odd "adventure" into our airspace. But, Russia has been waging hybrid warfare on the low key over here for a long time .... financially supporting de-stabilising political forces. Putting a certain former PM in their pocket.
JEDI is real and it is active. I might add that Ukrainians were weeping tears of joy in a certain car park basement last night, as shaheeds flew into their city overhead. Knowing that they are not facing Putin's mob on their own means a lot to them, ordinary people.

Another refinery went poof overnight.

And btw, I asked my mate about the Macron/Putin phone call. Yes, that is The Putin's voice. He doesn't speak at all like the "Putins" ... not to my ears anyway.

I wonder who will win the election in Russia?

When I see talk of election day in Russia this clip springs to mind(and probably isn't that far from the truth 😂).

*Warning- the YouTube clip has some offensive language*

I think that the prospect of a "forever war" or frozen conflict is somewhat less likely now. The political will is there within Europe now to speed up the inevitable (with the spectre of Trump on the horizon). The Eu will sign off 800 bn Euros very soon to expedite matters.

Hope so!
Thats a huge number.
Is the arms manufacturing capacity there?!
