The end?

Ukraine is Winning the Battle for Crimea – And More Good News Is Expected Soon. I'm not one to get carried away with hype & bluster - these are real people fighting & dying the media & Generals, regardless of who they are, spouting:

Hodges concluded: “Crimea… is sovereign Ukraine, and there will be no US tapping of the brakes if they take down that Kerch Bridge – which I do predict is going to happen this year.”

..as much as I'd like to see it rubble in the water - boasting & bragging about it, is best left until after it is in the water, IMHO.. There have been - many - reports recently of rushed defence systems heading for Crimea..

If VP's pet project is no more, maybe his status will begin to crumble too, we can only hope - do us all a favour & take one of those express elevators to the ground floor & take some - ALL - of your cronies too..

They clearly know what is heading their way .... they just can't do anything much about it.
Personally, I don't mind Hodges being "hawkish". I think this probably reflects a slight change in the head of afairs in the US.

It can sometimes seem a bit abstract reading my mate's stuff. Even when he talked about Tank Girl going hard at the moment in Kursk. Well, some of you will be familiar with her MO, so you can maybe picture it.
This is what she is serving up to the Russian forces defending the Lgov - Rylsk highway. I wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of it. There's debate in the thread around what these are. I can tell you they are Czech Scorpions. Souped up GRADS .... 90% more accurate than the opriginal. I almost feel sorry for them. Especially if there are conscripts/kids. Though it is more likely to be the elite troops brought up from the south.

When I see the drones taking out the occupiers.. I do wonder how effective it can be:

Junior Sergeant Tymofiy Orel. Using FPV drones, he eliminated 434 Russian occupiers, wounded 346 more, and destroyed 134 armored vehicles, including 42 tanks, 10 MT-LBs, 28 APCs, and 44 IFVs.

Hodges has seemed much more in sync with your friend than most of the media, so I've always assumed he is getting well informed as well as being a better analyst than most.

Its a shame people like him cant, or should i say are too scared, to speak out. Not all Russians are bad people, they are just like us and would like to return to normality.
Russians are no more evil or good than any other Homo Sapiens on this planet. They are unfortunately in thrall of an oppressive and controlling regime. I hope that one day they can be free to speak and live their lives in peace not as pawns for a dictator.

So my mate has emerged from a night in the basement unscathed, thankfully.
I sent him this video of Kremlin kefuffle. Obvs he is a bit behind on news.

After a short while he came back and said "three motorcades, all with ambulances. Very unusual. "

So I suspect he's off trying to figure out what's going on.

Meanwhile. Feodosia is still burning, with fires over a larger area. Other fuel depost and air fields were also hit yesterday, as a happy Birthday to Putin.
Rasputitsa is imminent, so Tank Girl is trying to make gains as fast as possible, but Russians fighting back hard.
She and her troops will deserve a rest and re-grouping period.
Major Russian losses again yesterday.
France has confirmed that Mirage attack aircraft will be delivered to Ukraine in Q1 2025.

10 ambulances, one for every Putin.

I have been thinking about what those opposed to Putin must be thiinking.
Anyone in power, who could move against Putin must have one eye on the orange pig in the US. If the orange pig gets in then surely this would be a huge shot in the arm for Putin.
Anybody thinking of pushing Putin aside must be thinking that they have just a few weeks to do it.

Given the ongoing atrocities perpetrated by Israel and Russia, the world could do with things changing for the better. fingers crossed that putin's maid accidentally leaves a 20th floor window open and he trips over a carpet.
