The end of the Luton game

It might have been discussed and I've missed it. But we had 3 on 2 with no keeper to beat. If the ref had played on for another 10 seconds it'd have likely finished 3-1 which could be season defining on goal difference. Given goal scoring opportunities are usually played out before the whistle is blown, did anyone else think that was a bit out of order?

It was unusal definitely but I don't think the ref had any obligation to continue playing.
Mind you, if we hadn't been winning he may have allowed play to continue.

He didn’t give enough injury time.. then it felt like he blew before that was even up!

We were winning and had just survived a set piece lumped into our area..........'OW MUCH LONGER FFS, BLOW THE FECKING WHISTLE REF.......oh, he has, GERRIN!

I've found that game on YouTube and the ref blows for half time from a goal kick and full time is at the half way line. Looks like that website has misremembered what happened. Or they've mixed it up with a different game.

Tbh I was sure it was 90/91 too. Mainly because I didn’t really follow top flight football until after Italia 90.
