THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

Iheanacho only seems to be coming as a late Lath replacement. I’ll be amazed if he makes much impact, the new Yannick Bolasie. The ex Juventus starlet seems a punt we are getting because he’s available. All the comings and goings this month suggest to me we’ll be changing head coach in the summer.
Nice comparison!

Bolasie/Iheanacho
Kebano/Iling Junior
Mendez-Laing/Whittaker

The ghosts of transfer windows past?

When was the last window where we got a really good right back and defensive midfielder?

Full backs we seem cursed, they either get injured or aren’t good enough. Last defensive midfielder….scratches head and comes up with Jon Obi Mikel?!

I suspect because our deal fell through for the other midfielder we are trying to line up another one , then Barlaser can move to Derby.
I'm in minority here but I would gladly take Lewis O Brien, for many reasons but not least he knows the set up at the club, the style of play and the area, in my mind that leads to quick integration and we need that with all the new incomings.

Definitely getting the band back together with O’Brien!

I think his ability counts for more than those

I mean.. more than happy with us signing these attackers.. but WHERE IS THE DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER?!?!?

I’ve been going on about our need for a consistent solid right back for what seems like an eternity now.. so I won’t even bring that one up.

and we’re all fine with hanging our hats on Fry, RVDB & Edmunson to see out the season?

I’m loving ‘the model’ and all that.. the ‘golden thread’ the dna.. the one way of playing.. BUT SERIOUSLY!

Where the fook are these guys coming from? Are we genuinely gonna roll up to the January window deadline cool as a cucumber and just bring in Milan van Ewijk, Wouter Burger and Kornel Szucs like it ain’t no thang?

No loan spots left.. just riding in bare back.. rolling the dice?

Pfft.. don’t go chasing Wouter falls? Please sick to the Liverpool takes that are used too?

Nah.. I’m not having it!
Yiur obviously following bandys posts 😄

Not replacing Clarke is a huge red flag.

Iheanacho is the type of player that I can see upsetting the group

Iling-Junior could be a masterstroke

I still say we need a 1st choice RB and a DCM as cover

I’m not convinced we’ll make the play-offs relying on Iheanacho for goals, he appears a 1:5 man but I accept there are a lot of appearances from the bench and at a higher level. I’d sooner have thrown money at Archer.
I think our 4th and 5th choice CB’s are now Ayling and Borges. The defence isn’t really the problem though, it’s the game plan and the players in front of them giving very little protection.
