The day shall come

Chris Morris film about the FBI fitting up terror groups in the states.

Just watched it and while it's mostly a comedy it's also terrifying when you realise the feds have been doing this for a long time. Have to wonder if the shoe bomber didn't fall foul of something like one of these stings.

It doesn't surprise me having seen footage of some of the 'terror' groups marching in the USA. Outfits perfectly coordinated, all youngish and clean cut, marching in perfect coordination. Happy to be arrested and retained without resistance.

I watched it a couple of yrs ago. I can't remember many of the details but know it left me feeling sad for some reason.
Totally different vibe to Four Lions.

I felt the same, it was just the look of hopelessness and bewilderment as he was arrested at the end. And the post script of the incompetent agents getting promotions while they all got lengthy prison sentences for nothing.

Knowing that this is a genuine tactic these agencies use to make cases out of people with mental health issues made the feeling even worse.

I totall agree with your comments - The Day Shall Come definitely made me feel down too.

There certianly weren't any "rubber dinghy rapids man!" or Honey Monster moments.
