Went to see the Cult last night and it was an excellent show.. Can't believe how powerful Ian's voice still is. He can't reach all the notes anymore which was obvious with "Spiritwalker" and "Rain" but he certainly can still belt it out. Billy has to be one of the most underrated guitar players out there. I have not seen them since their Electric tour which was what 30 plus years ago so a lot of their newer songs are a bit heavy for my liking but never the less they where good. Played 3 songs each from Dreamtime, Love and Electric. I see their shows in their upcoming gigs in the UK are almost sold out with 2 at Albert Hall. Anyway an enjoyable night with some good raw energy provided by a bunch of 60 year olds. Not like the chaos that was in the 80's but never the less.

Took my partner as well who more of less said the same thing. By the end of the night especially with she sells sanctuary she was bouncing. I always find it funny when you see all the young kids looking at the over 60's having a good time. You can just see them talking to each other and saying looks at those two? :)
 
I saw them when they opened for Guns n’ Roses at the Milton Keynes Bowl in ‘93. They were really good and I vowed to go and see them again, but never did. To be honest I didn’t know they were still around. Looks like I might get the chance to see them again after all. 👍🏻
