The cost of following the Boro

We, and by we I mean our small group of three discussed the said title.
We went on a conservative estimate of around 2000 Boro probably there today and this is also a very conservative each spending £50 on tickets and travel ( ours was slightly over £50 before a beer and a bite to eat).
2000 x£50 is around £100,000 on them terraces today and that is a real eye opener when you weigh it all up.
It certainly isn't cheap anymore and sort of makes you understand why fans are so ***ed off with recent performances.
 
The cost of 4 away days is equivalent to the price of my season ticket.
The biggest part is train fares which are hideously expensive.
 
I suppose the thing about away games is the travel, seeing another ground, town/city and the day out. That alone is probably worth it.

I personally have better things to do on a Saturday than follow Boro away.
