What's been the issue with having nowt in for Xmas?

Seems to be big problems with getting Errea stock in - especially kits, training kit etc

Bet they lose a fortune because of this.

In fairness, I think it's the same at every club with supply chain problems.

Mind you, anyone lucky enough to have the surname 'Display' will have plenty of choice.

They are terrible that's why, same last year.

I asked last week and was told no more away kits available this season and they "might" have some 3rd kits in February...

Nice one..

Last year managed to get the kids tops for Xmas, no problems. This year, none in stock. That's why I'm looking more at Errea rather than Boro.

Bit of a shambles tbh.

There was an advert at Burnley yesterday that they had away shirts in stock (at last). Many clubs had no shirts at all this season til autumn. Not just EFL either. Did you see Hummel UK distribution went into administration in November. Horrendous supply problems across all clubs and kit manufacturers.
Many clubs will have lost fortunes, the last thing they needed after Covid.

Interesting. That's why I was reluctant to blame Boro - seems very much an Errea issue which is out of Boros control.

Only thing that can be levelled at the club is lack of communication.

There aren't any available on the website.

Nothing new there then. You know when you get a marketing email about kids pjs this close to xmas and nothing else something isnt right

If they kept the same strip for 2 years and just ordered more of it I reckon they would make more profit would be an interesting experiment anyway but one I won't be doing....

There's really no excuse. I ordered some knockoffs from China and they turned up in less than a fortnight and they cost £12 for the full kit including shipping. If they can do it then why can't Boro?

For the prices MFC charge there is no excuse. It's just incompetence.

This is exactly why that geezer queues for 3 nights to be the first to get his shirt, to avoid crying into his mulled wine on Christmas Day

i doubt there is 'a fortune' to be made selling boro shirts - there may be a profit should they sell over 80% of them all - but even selling 100% wouldn't provide a fortune of any significance in the transfer market or even for the clubs gas bill this winter.

its an issue that has hit lots of clubs bigger and more glamourous than Middlesbrough FC - but hey !, lets smash our own club outta the park
They cost pennies to make and we sell them for £50. If the margin isn't about 90% then we're doing something wrong.

Interesting to note that other similar errea supplied clubs such as Sheff Utd and QPR seem to have more errea stock available across most sizes

Its highly amusing considering the reason quoted for bumping Hummel, the best kit supplier we’ve had in years in terms of quality at least, was their distribution issues…

I know from someone at work that Southampton's club shop closed without warning in November, due to the Hummel distribution issues, and has only just reopened.
