The best live songs.... ever

Heavily produced, but what an amazingly great live version of one of the most instantly recognisable songs ever.
Always reminds me of my late uncle who passed nearly 20 years ago, bittersweet initially but as the years have passed has become a song of great comfort.

That was absolutely brilliant. Still some power in his voice for an older fella as well 👍🏻

Absolute crackers:
Thin Lizzy - Live & Dangerous album
Judas Priest - Unleashed in the East album

Yes. He was an alcoholic. He disappeared and was found hung in a seedy hotel in Hawaii.

On that performance Mark Brzezicki is a monster on the drums.

Steeltown from the same concert. Just as great.

Big Country & The Alarm played Boro Town Hall on Saturday. The Alarm was just Mike Peters with guitar and backing tapes (great live band over the years) Unsure of the BC lineup but previously seen them with Bruce and his son with Mike Peters on vocals. Certainly wasn't paying £37 for 2 lineups like that I'm afraid.

After Mike's time with BC Simon Hough took over. With all due respect to the guy he's no Mike, and certainly no Stuart.
Still a great back catalogue of songs but it's just not the same.

One final song from that 1993 concert:

Stuart could sure sing and play guitar, but he couldn't dance :)

Wee Gord. That was amazing . How time moves on. I didn't recognise him and even now I'm not sure if that's Justin Haywood

It's not Justin Hayward, he was in The Moody Blues. Another great band of course.

It's Gary Brooker in top form 🎤
