The best interview I’ve heard this year.

Wilder's treatment of Fry is when I really started to doubt anything will work out. Fry should be one of the first names on the teamsheet to me. The contrast between Wilder and Carrick is unreal to see. The latter is a real professional but he is only in his first real job and working wonders. The former, riding on the reputation of his Sheff Utd days and absolutely full of himself who had been in the game long enough to know better. His behavior here was just shocking.

I sometimes wonder if was it just a tantrum he threw, lost his temper due to signings promised but not delivered, and just a one-off shameful display ... but you hear around that the guy was unpleasant anywhere he has been. I dread to think of how he must have spoken to some of our youngsters up at Hurworth as his days were coming to an end.

I didn't see Carrick rebuilding their confidence as quickly as he did and all credit to him. I thought he was walking into a broken side, so low on confidence, and if we stayed up, it would be a job well done. I thought he was crazy at the time thinking it was an impossible job!

To think where we are now really is unreal and I hope it doesn't stop. Credit to Carrick, he must have a gift and will go far in this game in management. Same to Fry, Chuba .. the lot of them. What a reaction. I have never seen anything like this.

Glad to see the back of that ar5ehole CW in charge previously more and more as each game goes by under Carrick. Ha ha. Well done boys. Keep it up and smash the Mackems next week.

Although on one hand I was pleased when we signed Lenihan on a free, I was also concerned at what it would mean for Fry at the time, as I didn't expect Wilder to play them both together in a back 3.

I can remember that some were defending Wilder's decision to leave Fry out, and even tried to justify Wilder's ridiculous decision to take him off at half-time during one game earlier in the season, saying that it was because he wasn't following Wilder's instructions and wasn't playing the ball out of defence. I couldn't get my head around it, as this was a defender who'd had Ronaldo and Kane in his back pocket, yet all of a sudden he was deemed not good enough to be starting games.

Whilst I'm no Wilder apologist, I do get the reason why he brought Lenihan in to play in that central position in the back three, ahead of Fry.

As immense as Fry is at doing what he does best, that central position in Wilders system was critical to the whole thing working and needed a player that could move the ball quickly from side to side and especially into midfield.

Fry isn't that player, nor is he one that can play on either side of that position, which created an issue.

Having said that, Wilders biggest ultimate failing was an inability to give players confidence and improve their levels.

I'm just glad Fry is still here and back to his best because he is top quality at this level and one who would likely be able to play in the PL.

Really positive.
Dael is bouncing.
Its sounds like its all going great.
There will be ups and downs.
Dael has really come on.

I love Dael, was gutted for him at the start of the season, just felt like he was a scapegoat and I was really expecting him to be moved on. Not really heard him being interviewed before, he came across so well, articulate, passionate about the club, still wanting to learn. Woody absolutely loves him as well, you can see how much he wants him to succeed.
