The Battle at the top of the league

Seemingly no one is desperate right now for those two autos places (Yes, I'm aware they also have a good amount of thwarting going on by the Mighty Boro 😁)

However, you would still fancy all of Ipswich, Leicester and Leeds to get at least 3 points from their remaining fixtures. Southampton had fallen away and were before this weekend not considered, however with the other 3 blobbing to some extent as they hit recent form and their playing 2 of the top 3 in their remaining games, can't be completely written off, especially with then having a game in hand on Leicester and 2 on the others. With this to motivate them, they could feasibly get a minimum 9 points from their remaining 5 matches, they've gotten 7 from the last 3?

Which leads me onto this; COULD this be the season where we see FOUR sides get over 90 points?? Whilst I know of the odd season where 3 sides have (us hilariously condemning the deckchairs to 3rd in 98 springs to mind for obvious reasons), this is unprecedented in my immediate recollection, has this EVER happened before in the second tier?

If its new ground then it certainly backs up the argument that the champo IS stronger at the top this season and surely shouldn't be as tough next time around, you would think.

Bookies have final places

1. Leicester
2. Ipswich
3. Leeds
4. Southampton

with Leeds to win the play offs.

Leicester and Leeds dominated their weekend games, but just could not score. Remind me of a bit of us in 2016 when we finished with 4 draws and finished second.
