So if you're a criminal looking for a good quality firearm and glue sticks, join the queue for breaking into a school in the wee small hours of the morning.

Honestly though, I have colleagues in education who feel the need to call IT support due to confusion about switching on both the monitor and the computer. I would not expect the best results with an even more deadly piece of equipment...

Gun sales sky rocket after a school massacre esp the infamous AR-15.

But they’ve already solved the issue at the NRA annual jamboree build school with one door that can be locked ( and not it’s not a joke). It’s not the guns fault it’s too many doors.

It doesn’t matter how armed the school is, they don't have time to react to someone bursting in to a classroom and strafing every corner of the room in 3 seconds with an assault rifle.

The school authorities are basically saying you can't control guns by arming their own staff.

I agree its crazy, because they are promoting a gun culture and making guns more readily available.

What a difference compared with Canada.

I remember this was a Trump idea, " arm the teachers, so they can shoot the hell out of them". God bless America 😱

How long before a nutjob teacher snaps and opens fire on an unruly class of wronguns?
What then, arm all the kids so they can protect themselves against the teachers?

The US lawmakers just defy belief, it's almost like everyone for themselves now. It used to be grab a donut at breakfast now it's maybe grab-a-gun. I have a friend who always was against the owning of guns, now he has four including a semi. I, like many others are seriously thinking of leaving the US as it's become such a violent place and one which if you're oldish then you're basically a target.

This.

Presumably the "School Assault Rifle" (a phrase no sensible person ever contemplated) is presumably secured in a gun locker so assuming they don't ordinarily wander the corridors in tactical vest and locked and loaded AR-15 there will of necessity be a short period when the janitor will need to get the "School Assault Rifle", make his way to the location of the ongoing slaughter of the innocents and engage the shooter. The shooter who if the usual pattern is repeated is inured to his (for tis usually a male trope) impending meeting with his maker/the abyss and therefore unlikely to care over much about collateral damage. I can see no possible scenario where this might prevent a tragedy more likely to simply increase the damage due to more lead in the air.

Utter madness.
