Loads, including our Boxing Day match against Rotherham and we lost the rearranged fixture.
Though that was during a pandemic.

Plenty of matches have been called off for much flimsier excuses since our points deduction too.

Derby getting their match called off against Cardiff during an injury crisis because of almost non-existent snow being the one that stands out most in my mind.
They won the rearranged fixture too.

Even he, only in a Sunday pub league. He pointed out they would expect a three point deduction for not turning up

The normal punishment would have been awarding the game to the opposition, 2-1 I think.
And that's what happened to my Sunday Pub team in 2009. (Total stitch-up but that's another story ).
