The 1st ashes test

We aren't bowling bad, we just aren't getting the rub of the green. That ball would have carried to slip yesterday and the ball to Warner beat him all ends up but it was a no ball.

In any other era burns would have been dispatched long ago, the issue is there is simply no one coming through and going back to the same old faces is as bad as sticking with burns.

Cue the usual whack-a-ball debate killing the long format

We e been very unlucky, but Warner and Lab now appear set. 1.36am and rest of today looks long, sadly

Jack leach , not good enough, he doesn’t look like taking wickets. Doesn’t build pressure and has no variation. Parkinson should of been selected.

Abb. Anybody but burns.
Bowled behind his legs. Schoolboy stuff and dropped an absolute sitter.
He needs big runs in the next innings.

Sat here at Gabba wondering how Woakes and Leech got in ahead of Broad. Stokes is struggling big time as well and looks - to me - unlikely that he’ll bowl for a while.
With the frailties of our batting line-up Stokes has to play even if he doesn't bowl.

Dropped a massive clangor not playing Broad. Woakes has had an off day today, normally very disciplined. Today he's bowled too short. Leach, I cant see anything threat that he poses.
