He was brilliant later on thoughHe could close his legs for starters all the pundits on sky were critical of steffan saying it was a soft goal
Still confident we'll win but that was shocking haha, Giles missing his header, steffen not getting enough on it. Rare we have a comedy of errors leading to a goal
Hopefully that wakes the lads up, we'd laid off a little since we scored.
Come on Boro
Giles got exposed a few times with those balls out wide, he was stranded, too far in field.Giles didn't have a clue where his man was. harsh on Steffen, not much he can do in that situation except make himself bigger and hope Hoever fluffs his lines
Aye it was quality, split us open down that sideThe pass was sublime though!! proper punched the ball with pace and caught out the defender.
I don't think it was. It was easily intercepted if it was judged correctly. It was a loose ball. The pass was sublime though!! proper punched the ball with pace and caught out the defender.
Wasn’t a F..king clown with those two reaction saves late on though was he. Pointless expletives used in your postSteffan F***ing useless clown
Why do our fans always attack keepers? Steffen saved us today with some superb stops.
They played that long ball to expose Giles many times. Giles misjudging the interception left a run in on goal and Steffen was poor letting the ball easily through him. It was poor goalkeeping as highlighted by commentators and reporters. He was utterly exposed and it was a good finish. He didn't move his feet fast enough, but then the lad smacked it off a short back lift from about 8 yards so he hardly had the time to move.
I don't buy that, he had a poor game last night, but he's been ok defensively in recent games.Giles had a shocker and simply cannot defend .He seems to hide under any sort of pressure.
Got to say it was a fantastic first touch by their player to react and adjust to the touch by Giles. Put him straight in on goal. The lads a talent.Giles flicked it on perfectly to their player, which was irritating, made it a much more dangerous opportunity.
I get why he leapt for it, and it's obviously hindsight, but it would have been far less of a chance if he'd just ran back instead.
We certainly need to be better defensively than that. We did get away with a point last night, no need panic but teams seem to be wising up to how we play. Or wising up to Giles not being a defender.
